This week’s YWMM Girl is Lizmarys M. Ariza, Founder & Editor in Chief of MissMeanShoe.com. After being inspired by her strong passion for shoes, Lizmarys decided to turn her passion into something productive: MissMeanShoe.com. She started her online magazine all on her own in July 2009 and it has been running successfully ever since. Prior to becoming a Shoe Diva Extraordinaire, she worked as an Executive Assistant and Tax Analyst. Lizmarys also attended college and received her Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a minor Finance. With an entrepreneur spirit and pure ambition, Lizmarys is definitely a YOUNG WOMAN MAKING MOVES.

Ondrea : What defines a Mean Shoe? How many pairs of shoes shoes do you have fabulously organized in your closet?

Lizmarys: A Mean Shoe is a shoe that makes you feel like you are the hottest girl walking down the street. You feel like Carrie Bradshaw when she wears Manolo Blahniks. I have currently 82 pairs of shoes counted right now.

Ondrea: Who is your favorite shoe designer/brand?

Lizmarys: My favorite shoe designer is Nicholas Kirkwood.

Ondrea: Now, I love me a high heel,lol. I barely wear flats. What is the highest heel you will rock?

Lizmarys: The highest heel I’ll rock would have to be 5 inches.

Ondrea: MissMeanShoe.com in my opinion was a great idea. You totally found your nitch in the market. Where do you see yourself and MissMeanShoe.com in the next 5 years?

Lizmarys: In the next five years I see MissMeanShoe.com being the number 1 website to learn about shoes. I also see myself having my own shoe line and shoe boutique.

Ondrea: For young women trying to make moves like yourself, what advice would you give them?

Lizmarys: I advise young women to aim for the top and never settle for less. Don’t assume your friends will support your new venture or whatever goal your trying to achieve, because some of them won’t. Because of being a woman, many will think you’re not business savvy. You have to prove them wrong!
